S. S. Thorpe - steam stern-wheel towboat

Built 1927 by Dubuque Boat & Boiler Co. Dubuque, IA. Hull 130.1 x 35.1. Original builders plans drawn in 1/48 scale. Model size: 40'' long x 9'' beam. Originally owned by Federal Barge Line. Sold to American Rolling Moll Co in 1940, rebuilt and renamed George M. Verity. Still exists today as a museum boat at Keokuk, IA. Plans include outboard profile, main deck plan, boiler deck and pilot house plans and mid-ship section only. There are no hull lines, as she had a barge type hull. No other historical data or photos incl.
